Saint Andrews Refugee Services Supporting displaced communities in Cairo
Saint Andrew’s Refugee Services (StARS) is a refugee service provider in central Cairo, Egypt.
StARs works to enhance the quality of life for refugees and vulnerable migrants through four broad program areas: education, psychosocial, legal, and community outreach.
StARS serves people from many places, including Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.
This charity is dear to our hearts, as Harrison worked for StARS in 2021 as a Refugee Status Determination Legal Advisor, witnessing the truly amazing work undertaken by the organisation.
A modest donation can go a long way towards building and sustaining StARS services:
- 50 USD provides 12 hours of professional interpretation for clients in our legal aid programs
- 100 USD provides a healthy lunch for 220 school children
- 500 USD provides two months of psychosocial support to refugee communities through one of our caseworkers.
